Private Use
The use of music for private use, when purchased on CD, through download or streaming, is free.
In cases where you intend to use music outside the scope of private consumption, it will be necessary to request the issuance of a public performance license from SCM.
Public Execution
SCM charges public performance fees for the use of music in various venues, including live events and concerts and background music.
Rates are different case by case. Revenues arising from the licensing of these rights are distributed to copyright and related rights holders once a year.
